Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the services provided by LMV Removals & Waste Services LTD ("we", "our", "us"). By booking or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding with a booking.

Definitions

  • "Customer" refers to the individual or business that books or uses our services.
  • "Services" refers to all removal, relocation, waste collection, furniture assembly, and logistics services we provide.
  • "Quote" refers to the estimated cost of services provided to you before a booking is confirmed.
  • "Booking" refers to a confirmed arrangement for us to provide services.

Our Services

LMV Removals & Waste Services LTD provides the following services in the London area and surrounding regions:

  • Man with Van services
  • Home removals
  • Office relocations
  • Furniture assembly and disassembly
  • Waste and junk removal (non-construction waste)
  • Commercial equipment and prop logistics

The exact scope of services will be agreed upon before each booking.

Bookings & Quotes

All quotes provided are estimates based on the information you supply. The final price may vary if the actual job differs from the description given at the time of the quote.

  • Quotes are valid for 14 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
  • A booking is confirmed once we have agreed on the date, scope, and price in writing (including via email, text, or messaging platforms).
  • We reserve the right to decline a booking at our discretion.

Pricing & Payment

  • All prices are quoted in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable.
  • Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • We accept payment via bank transfer, cash, and card.
  • Additional charges may apply for services not included in the original quote, such as extra items, difficult access, waiting time, or parking costs.
  • In the event of non-payment, we reserve the right to charge interest in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled service date will receive a full refund of any deposit paid.
  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled service date may be subject to a cancellation fee.
  • Rescheduling is subject to availability and should be requested as early as possible.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a booking due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. severe weather, vehicle breakdown). In such cases, we will offer an alternative date or a full refund.

Customer Responsibilities

To ensure smooth delivery of services, the customer agrees to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information about the items to be moved or removed.
  • Ensure adequate access to the collection and delivery locations, including parking availability.
  • Disclose any items that require special handling or are of high value.
  • Ensure that all items for waste removal are legal to dispose of.
  • Be present (or have an authorised representative present) at the collection and delivery addresses.

Liability & Insurance

We take the utmost care with your belongings. However:

  • We carry public liability insurance to cover damage caused by our negligence during the provision of services.
  • Claims for damage must be reported to us in writing within 7 days of the service date.
  • We are not liable for damage to items that were improperly packed by the customer, unless packing was included in the service.
  • We are not liable for pre-existing damage, wear and tear, or damage caused by inherent defects in the items.
  • Our liability is limited to the market value of the item at the time of damage, up to the maximum covered by our insurance policy.
  • We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses.

Prohibited Items

We cannot transport or dispose of the following items:

  • Hazardous materials (chemicals, explosives, flammable substances)
  • Illegal goods or substances
  • Construction waste (rubble, asbestos, plasterboard)
  • Clinical or medical waste
  • Live animals or perishable food

If prohibited items are found among your belongings, we reserve the right to refuse to handle them without liability.

Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of LMV Removals & Waste Services LTD and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
